Food For Thought – Ransomware Threats in 2023 3/2/2023 11:30 AM – 3/2/2023 1:30 PM

Moving into 2023, ransomware continues to be a major threat to businesses and organizations and shows no signs of slowing down. Cyberattackers use ransomware to encrypt your data to make it inaccessible until a ransom has been paid. The sophistication and complexity of ransomware attacks have increased significantly over the past few years, making them harder to detect and mitigate. In addition, many ransomware variants have adopted a "double extortion" tactic, where the attackers threaten to release the data publicly if the ransom is not paid. As a result, organizations must take extra measures to protect themselves against ransomware attacks.
