Yoga in the Moonlight Garden 3/2/2022 10:00 AM – 3/30/2022 11:00 AM

This one 1-hour yoga class allows you to step away from all the 21st century gadgets and focus on the moment. All skill levels welcome. The class is taught by Bonnie D’Angelo, a certified yoga instructor. She is RYT200 certified with Yoga Alliance and working toward RYT300. She is certified in Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 and will continue the path towards Reiki Master & Energy Worker. Purchase tickets at edisonford.org or at the ticket counter. Art In Bloom Exhibit 3/6/2022 12:00 PM – 3/6/2022 4:00 PM

Edison and Ford Winter Estates will host the Art in Bloom art show in partnership with the Fort Myers-Lee County Garden Council. This unique one-day art show features floral designs paired with works of art from the Sustainable Conceptions exhibit. This year, 15 floral designs and other works of art will be on display in the Edison Caretaker’s House, an original “Cracker House” and one of the oldest standing structures in Lee County. Prior to the show, participating Garden Council members are paired with a piece of artwork and create a floral display based on their interpretation of the art —using the same colors and design feel. Art in Bloom is included with general admission. Visitors may vote for their favorite floral design; the winners will be announced at the end of the show.

WHAT IS ADVANCED LEADERSHIP CAPE CORAL?
In this eight part series, participants will revisit core leadership concepts and tools to help refine their leadership skills in order to maximize business results. Each module in the series will be 2.5 hours in length, held on Friday’s from 9:00 – 11:30. All sessions will be held at Keiser University in Fort Myers. A variety of instructional methods will be utilized, including mini lectures, video, simulation, case studies and facilitated discussion.

Session Four: One cannot be a leader without followers, learn what it means to develop the art of followership. Discover the strategies and courage required for managing up. Explore what followers seek from leaders. Discuss how to motivate followers through empowerment. Entertain new ideas for motivation.

Etiquette Class 3/26/2022 10:00 AM – 3/26/2022 1:00 PM

Historical records in the Edison archives show Mina Edison, wife of legendary inventor Thomas Edison, as a gracious hostess and interested in the wellbeing of children and the community. Following in this tradition, this two-hour class will teach etiquette and social skills. Students will gather at the Edison Caretaker’s House for a lesson in good manners. This class teaches proper introduction, handshakes and dining etiquette during a three-course meal. Each student will receive a workbook and
certificate of completion.

Sustainable Conceptions Art Exhibit now open! 2/7/2022 9:00 AM – 5/29/2022 5:30 PM

While the Green Movement was not popular during their lifetimes, Edison and Ford both recognized the importance of recycling and reusing materials. The exhibit showcases art inspired by Edison and Ford’s efforts to reuse products and their abilities to work toward a sustainable future. Artwork will be on display in the Edison Caretaker’s house through May 29. Included with general admission!
